Don Davidoson put two arrangements at Michihiro Kosuge: The Quiet Voice of Metal and Stone at the Japanese Garden. After starting the Portland Branch and working hard for so many years, Mrs. Kodachi retired as our Branch Director. The new Director is Don Davidson.
Congratulations! Hideko Hearn received the Teacher's Diploma 4th Grade (Yonkyuu). Etsuko Tanbara received the 1st Certificate Beginner (Ikkyuu). Keiko Kodachi and Hideko Hearn did the arrangement for "The Gentlemean Scholar -- Celebrating 50 Years of Asian Art with Donald Jenkins" at the Portland Art Museum. An article on Hideko Hearn appreared in The Oregonian . She started teaching the Ikebana class at Portland Community College. Keiko Kodachi did the arrangement for "Edward Weston: A Photographer's Love of Life" at the Portland Art Museum. |
