Kika Shibata, West Coast Coordinator of Sogetsu North America, amazed an audience at a Garden Club conference in Vancouver, Washington. Most were unfamiliar with ikebana, but were thrilled with the creativity and variety of arrangements that Mrs. Shibata made.

Arrangements ranged from the use of one flower to her final arrangement that was 10 feet long, 6 feet high, and 6 feet deep. Portland Branch members assisted her in forming the large arrangement.
